WHO WE ARE:

Our Mission: Training and development that embodies the Department of Mental Health's concept of a caring, competent, and valued staff through effective training and development with the goal of taking all staff from competency to mastery, efficient use of financial as well as human resources, and providing a role model for the region of effective and efficient team work. 

While we are located at Metropolitan St. Louis Psychiatric Center we provide services for all three of the facilities in the Eastern Region.

WHAT WE DO:

We see the role of Training and Development as providing Professional Development training, Annual Refresher training, and new Employee Orientation.

This includes instruction in Cardiopulmunary Resuscitation, Professional Assault Crises Training, Situation Awareness, and Management/Supervisory skills as well as Infection Control, client confidentiality, and fire and saftey.
